Meteorologia (INMET) do per{\'{\i}}odo de 1991 a 2020, e
informa{\c{c}}{\~o}es da Esta{\c{c}}{\~a}o Meteorol{\'o}gica
de Superf{\'{\i}}cie (EMS) do munic{\'{\i}}pio, tamb{\'e}m do
Abstract The present work is a
case study on the extremes of precipitation that occurred in the
municipality of Te{\'o}filo Otoni (MG) in November 2012. Data
from the Climatological Normal of the National Institute of
Meteorology (INMET) from the period 1991 to 2020 were used, and
information from the Surface Meteorological Station (EMS) from the
municipality, also from INMET, from the period 2006 to 2022. The
results showed that in the analyzed period it rained 511.8 mm of
monthly accumulated, with 114.2 mm only on November 28. This
amount was characterized as the highest record of monthly
accumulated in a month of November among the entire period
analyzed. In Te{\'o}filo Otoni, 57.1% of the incidence of monthly
accumulated precipitation is up to 50.0 mm, while precipitations
greater than or equal to 500.0 mm represent only 1.5% of the
occurrence. Positive anomalies were concentrated in November,
January, and March of the 2012/2013 rainy season. These events
were associated with the occurrence of 03 (three) episodes of SACZ
in the month, with the highest intensity being between November
25th and 28th. The observed results highlight the importance of
constant monitoring of climate extremes and their impacts.",
